
Michael Walsh, MD, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Medicine and Health Research Methods at McMaster University. As an academic nephrologist and Senior Scientist at the Population Health Research Institute, his research focuses on improving outcomes for patients with glomerular diseases, vasculitis, and kidney failure. He holds leadership roles as the Chair of the Scientific Committee of the Canadian Society of Nephrology, Chief Scientific Officer of the GlomCon Foundation and the Provincial Medical Lead for Person-Centered Care at the Ontario Renal Network of Ontario Health. Dr. Walsh has published over 250 peer reviewed articles and has been fortunate to receive support from organizations like the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, British Heart Foundation, National Health and Medical Research Council Australia, Health Research Council New Zealand, and others to lead international clinical trials.
